Without going  into too many details, we have several hectares of unfenced bushland that we use occassionlly as a bit of a retreat. Phone reception is a bit hit and miss, the nearest main road is about 7 kilometers away, the nearest large town/city is some 90 kilometers away.

It is situated several hours west of the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
At first glance, there is not much there, no hills or mountains, beaches or creeeks, rainforests or rockeries.
Just flat bush.

There is a dam that is full of crayfish which makes for a delicious meal.
If you are patient and quite, you may see some of the many animals like the kangaroo, koalas, emu, possums, fox, rabbit, echidna, goannas and many lizards.
On a clear night, the stars are amazing with very little, if any, light polution.

Until recently, In my family there were three Larrys. Father, son (me) and grandson. Both my son and I (Larry III) love going out to the property. Hence the name my wife coined, Larryland.

I am also a bit of a photography buff and on occassion, go out to the property to photograph animals and of course take advantage of the fantastic dark night sky for those milky way shots.
